Lots of this and that to talk about. It's been a busy, crazy week, so I need to write this update just to figure out everything that happened.
As you may know CHRIS MITTEN has been announced as the new permanent artist of Cal Mcdonald and Criminal Macabre at Dark Horse. We are working with my long-time friend SCOTT ALLIE who has taken over editing CM.
So far I've written a new one-shot that will completely turn Cal's world upside town, and possibly have the villagers chasing me with torches, but I'm used to that.
Coming up first is a new CM short Chris Mitten and I cooked up for Free Comic Book Day called CALL ME MONSTER. The book with be available for FCBD.
ERIC POWELL and I have begun work on the CRIMINAL MACABRE/GOON crossover. We pounded out a story that made us both laugh like idiots, so next week I start scripting.

Atlas announced WULF which is a series I'll be doing with NAT JONES. We've taken the 70's Atlas barbarian and really turned the story on it's head. I just finished the first script and I'm waiting for a response from the pubs. Nat loved it, so we shall see.
One of the odder elements of WULF is that I am also using another Atlas character LOMAX. How do we get these two in the same panel? Wait and see!
Sadly, X-FILES/30 DAYS OF NIGHT is coming to an end. The script is finished for #6 and TOM MANDRAKE is hard at work inking the final pages. That was a really fun series to write with ADAM JONES and the response has been really good. I'll be very curious to hear what you think after you read the last page of the last issue.
Only one issue of MYSTERY SOCIETY left to go. There's a chance for more, but it all depends on trade sales now. Here's a cool site that has lots of pages from the first few issues: http://forum.superpouvoir.com/showthread.php?p=379181
DARK DAYS came out on DVD a couple weeks back and the reaction has been mixed. Some people seem to really love it while others reeeeally hated it. I got a couple letters saying that because they didn't like part 2, all of 30 Days of Night is ruined for them. Yikes! Glad I didn't let the Heretic ruin the Exorcist for me. I stand by what I said. I think they did a good job on Dark Days considering the budget for the first was 30 mil and the budget on DD was 3 mil. Considering, I think they did a great job.
DC SHOWCASE DVD came out this week which has THE SPECTRE short on it with new commentary. If you missed this and want to hear me talk over the cartoon, then this is the edition for you!
Hmmm. I think that's it for today.
